She has been at NDAC for 10 years and throughout her time has developed a passion for helping people of all ages and abilities achieve their goals in life and she strives to work with others to create an inclusive and supportive community for all. Heidi has worked in multiple positions within the company which has provided her with a variety of experiences. This includes working directly with individuals, working closely with families, training staff, managing staff, and working directly with other professionals in the community. This has allowed her to gain a better understanding of the needs of the individuals, their families, and what the current community resources are which has provided a vision on how to continue to help those families and other families in our community. Heidi’s ultimate goal is to eliminate barriers and help our community grow to be more inclusive and supportive to people of all abilities.
Heidi’s education includes a B.S. in Human Development and Family Science at North Dakota State University and a M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism from Russell Sage College of New York. She is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, and is a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst in the state of North Dakota. Addition certifications include a Certified Direct Support Professional through Minot State University.
Outside of work, Heidi enjoys spending time with her husband, Drew, as well as visiting family and friends whenever possible. She likes to stay active by playing volleyball, going rollerblading, and doing outdoor activities – especially playing yard games with friends! While at home she enjoys doing DIY projects, cooking, gardening, taking care of her many houseplants, and she feels that there is nothing better than a beautiful evening around the bonfire.
