We were incorporated in North Dakota in December 2006, and formed the North Dakota Autism Center (NDAC) Board of Directors. The NDAC received 501(c) (3) [non-profit] status in mid-June, 2007. We hold monthly board meetings, which is where we generate ideas, work on steps to establish the NDAC, and plan for upcoming events.

Something to think about...
- 1 in every 150 children have a form of autism
- Boys are 4 times as likely to be diagnosed on the spectrum
- A new case is diagnosed every 20 minutes
- 67 people will be diagnosed TODAY
This means with North Dakota's population at 633,837...
...there are roughly 4,225 people, just in ND, who may be on the spectrum.

Early intervention is a key element for children on the autism spectrum. Although, it is important to know that it is never 'too late' for intervention. |
"If a child can't learn in the way that we teach, then we must teach in a way he [or she] can learn." ~ Ivar Lovaas, Ph.D
